Computer Engineering is a branch of engineering that includes the software and hardware structure, design and development of computer systems and the integrated use of these systems with other systems.
Rapid changes in the computer industry play a major role in today's technological advances. The use of computer systems has become widespread day by day and has become an indispensable common denominator of all branches of science and engineering. In this context, the need for staff who have theoretical knowledge and practical skills in this field and can integrate them with other disciplines is increasing day by day.
It is thought that the most basic deficiency of newly graduated engineers in our country is that they do not have sufficient knowledge and skills related to practical work in the industry. Marmara University Faculty of Technology, Department of Computer Engineering offers applied courses as well as theoretical courses. Our education system is intertwined with the industry and private sector and provides the students in the undergraduate program with the scientific skills necessary for the design, implementation and application areas of software and hardware to be used in advanced technologies. In addition, our students are offered the opportunity to work in a sector of their choice for one semester in their senior year in order to adapt to the working conditions in the private sector.
